Default variable duration lifters

Anyone tried variable duration lifters, supposedly they can add 1/4 tq down low and help with mileage then they give full lift up top. Sounds interesting

Do you mean Rhoads lifters?I saw where they had come out with roller lifters for our trucks and would be interested in the results.I know they were common back in the 70s and would tame down a radical cam to the point it could be run on the street.

yes I saw them in summit for 100 bucks damn they seem cheap but from everything Im hearing and reading some reputable engine builders love em and swear by em. Got a good post about em going on tech some good info

evidently they bleed off alot more at higher rpms so they tend to move the power band up and there is alot less chance of valve float from everything I gather they seem more reliable and are a better application for drivability, power and mpg with big cams. Only thing is I think you would have to switch over to an adjustable rocker setup which is better anyway. Im thinking Im gonna use em whenever I get around to my stroked 6.0 build.

heres the website http://www.rhoadslifters.com

Im glad to see your still around whitt seems like all the older members that I learned from are dissapearing and taking all the knowledge with em
