I don't know of many single springs that will handle over .600. My max lift is .574. I dont wan't to run duals due to the higher seat pressures. I think that causes undue valvetrain stress that is not needed in my application. I checket installed height and coil bind with the 918's I have. No problems. I am just concerned with the issues others are seeing. Plus these 918's are quiet at idle some times and they do trigger my knock sensor. So i think these things are varying in size during heat cycles and such. Where can you get these PAC springs and who makes them?

PRC golds is a dual spring and it will handle up to 650 or so lift. they are about $300 or so, i had them on my radix set up with the same cam. i might go to the 921 comp spring. what is the word on them???

921's are good to go, but most people for the money opt for Patriot golds, They come with titanium retainers, super locks and seals for 255.00. Comp 921's will cost 700+ with titanium retainers.

I did some research and called PAC. The SDPC springs are not the same as PAC 1518. PAC 1518 are nirtride treated and are 356.00 a set. Lunati 74818, PAC 1218, Isky 165a, and Comp 918's are the same spring. The Isky and Comp springs are treated but I can't find what with. These springs are priced from 129-239 with PAC the most expensive. What I did find is that Lunati now offers Nitrided part #75818 for 239.95. So these might be the best spring for the money? Also found out that PAC makes Lunati springs with Pacaloy. The 75818 and PAC 1518 are the same spring. Just 120.00 chaeper.

Just a quick note on the "new" Comp 918's....Dozer Dan's aren't the first new design that I've seen break. Search around here and tech and you'll notice numerous silver Comp 918's have failed.

Sorry that I don't have a suggestion for you white lightning, but when you do figure something out I'll be watching closely for myself

+1 for the Patriots...agreed they aren;t the quietest...but they give me peace of mind! Its a good idea to ask the cam company. Typically on their website they'll list the proper springs, valves, lash (if any) and rocker for optimal output. Of course if its Comp..they'll rec 918's tho. R/

It is good to see that there are still some honest comapinies out there. I spoke with PAC. They do indeed make the Lunati springs. Lunati part# 15818 are exactly the same spring as PAC 1518's. Guy at PAC said to order them from Summit. They are nitride treated Pacaloy and are supposed to be the best ovate beehive spring available. Ordered them from Summit. 235.95 His honesty saved me 125 bucks. I will post some pictures when I get them and when I am doing the install.

We can get the 1518's for about 250, they are good to .650 lift.
