Default trouble with my 6.0

my chevy silverado 2500 6.0 sounds like its got a stahl converter on it when i get in the gas pedal at mid to high rpm, it feels like its flooding and when i back out of it, it cleans up. I put a new fuel press reg on it and its still doing it and it gets no engine code. if anyone has any suggestions i would appreciate it.

It could be a dirty fuel filter if its ok when you ease in to the throttle and acts like its not getting enough fuel when you go above mid throttle. Atleast that is what was wrong with one of my trucks when I was going above mid throttle.
