Default ticking after cam install...

only under decelleration most noticeable around 1500-2000 rpm. AGAIN most noticeable when engine breaking (its a 5 speed)

is this normal? it sounds like rockers need to be adjusted, but theyre non adjustable

Did you use the stock retainers? I put the same cam in a truck and it sounded like a machine gun with the retainers that COMP provided. Put the stock retainers back on and it fixed it right up.

I could see where the rocker tips were hitting the retainers (COMP retainers were black in color.) Just get it fixed...don't want any valves coming unkeyed!
