It's not even in yet...the guy doing to fill work on my inner fender is barely finishing the work today! 6 hours of work took him 6 weeks to finish! I'll be getting things ready to drop the engine in ASAP! I have two pairs of slippers, not the same as yours though!

I have two or three but can only find one pair at the moment...still haven't found everything that I own since I moved at the end of June LOL. One pair is really cool, they're black with flames

Nice build thread, I'm glad I saw it.

One question, although it's not relevant to this build...Are you able to install head studs with the engine in the truck or does the cab need to be lifted?

It can be done with the engine in the truck, but a few of the rear studs have to be put in after the heads have been placed on, or you won't be able to get the heads on with the studs already in there. Not sure exactly which studs have to be done that way, but obviously it's a few of the rears...

On the Trailblazer, I don't know exactly what "can" be done while in the truck, but I do know for sure that you can get the motor in as an assembled long block... Thats all I care about!

That's very cool, how much coin for that? I have no idea what can and can't be done on TrailBlazers either, my previous post was in reference to run of the mill 1500 GM trucks

This whole thread is in reference to my truck...Dusty helped me assemble the entire long block! The long block (with machine shop labor for block and crank) has set me back close to $5000, but I am not using run of the mill parts where available and have gone the extra steps with other parts of the motor to ensure it lasts!
