5.3L LM7 OUT AND 6.0L LO9 IN. MORE TO COME. AND YES THE CAM KIT WAS INSTALLED.

Do you have closer pics of the short block? I dont know if thats a line on the pic but it looks like those pistons are dished. Are the pistons in the new motor dished?

The little bastards are dished, looks like an LQ4 piston with a little deeper dish maybe???

LQ9 pistons are flat tops whereas LQ4s are dished like the LM7. If they are dished, you got cheeseballed by the person who sold you the motor. I would have a baseball bat waiting for his knee.

thats called flash off of the camera guys calm down it was pulled from a 05 escalade

What cam did you go with? Looks like you have a Yank. What stall? Gears?

I kept the TT2600. I went with TSP 224r on a 112 and I have 4.10 gears. There was a little low end loss. But I couldnt be happier. Enjoy.

cam is 218/224 563 581

stall is a yank TT3000

Gears are 3.73 w/dertroit truetrac
going back to a blower, but is going to be a while. Probably the 122HH

I rode in it after everything was buttoned up and that LQ9 pulled really hard! It definitely is an LQ9--I was there at the time of purchase, motor breakdown, install. I am true believer of the 6.0--doesn't pull nearly as good as his blown 5.3, but it definitely moves! Too bad we took out the 6.0 this weekend...
