rocker arm issue?

Update: put a brand new set of stocks back on and ran great! Maybe pushrod length?

Did you by any chance check how many turns from zero lash until they were torqued when you were removing them?

No I didn't. I think it was a pushrod length issue though. Unless the stock springs just couldn't hold the 1.8??

Yeah, the pushrods are too long causing the valves to hang open. Simple fix really. Do what you want but I'd keep them. You're only a set of pushrods away from fixing it.

What some people dont realize is that the YTs are heavier at the valve than stock rockers so if the springs are tired or you have a cam with barely enough spring, it will cause float.

Weak springs won't cause idle problems. Broken springs, maybe would, but that would have been obvious during the install.

I've got it running for now. I'm going to go back after it with shorter pushrods. I'm going to buy a length checker and see what happens.

am wanting to put a set of 1.65 roller rockers on my 5.3l 2010! wondering if any one has done this?
