Glad to help, looks like i will be going with shorter pushrods for my ls7 lifters

 

Dropped the 7.375s that came stock back in...the ticking has mellowed out noticeably. Not as quiet as I'd like but it does calm the nerves lol.

 

I just dont trust the stock pushrods when upgrading cams... Idk

 

A pushrod is a pushrod if you're not spinning it to like 7500rpm...I am going to be switching to comp cams 7.350 this week, though.

hah no kidding. i had originally measured my preload at .085" so i assume that just pissed off the lifters a little bit. still within operating range, but whatever...guess they just like less preload. i do consider myself a seasoned DOD deleter now lol

 

Hmmmm, I wonder if a lot of the "characteristic" cam swap sewing machine sound that we all get could be cured by some shorter pushrods??
