Reminds me of the 327 in my 57 that sat in a garage for 20+ years. Pulled the plugs and squirted some oil down in the cylinders. Let it set a couple days and then turned it over. Drained all the fluids, put in new plugs, and fired it up. Ran for maybe 30 seconds and locked up. Popped the hood and the rod was sticking out the side of the block. The piston had come off the wrist pin just like that and all the pieces bounced around inside the cylinder until it locked up. Only thing I could think of that cased it was gas sitting in the cylinder for 20+ years causing the piston to weaken or deteriorate.
