Hemi's are known to crack pistons at the top ringland..... But usually that was 6.1's, not the 5.7's and was while under boost or heavy spray. Quite a few guys took their engines apart and found the ring gap on the upper compression ring to tight for any kind of forced induction.
That said heavy detonation has grenaded them too. But to look perfect while apart and then implode after a head swap..... I dunno man.
Brake cleaner blowing the piston apart seems somewhat far fetched.... Maybe it was the icing on the cake however to a failing piston though. Especially to have run normally for 10 minutes after the fact.
I don't buy Dodge because Tuning + Dodge Gas engines = Fail

Wow what an " interestesting " thread to say the least

Plus I should add that the ring land thing may very well have been rectified on the later 6.1's ( 08/09 on). I don't pay attention to the Hemi boards anymore. However I personally knew 2 guys with stock internal equipped 6.1's that lost pistons on their 2009 SuperBee's because of valve springs breaking.... Not to mention multiple others on the forum for the 09's... They all ended up getting warranty long blocks that had different color and most likely different supplier valve springs on the new engines. Nothing is perfect, lol.

Hearing impaired or not, people are going to assume you're ******* retarded if you can't even spell 'reason' correctly. I get SO many texts from people with **** spelled horribly wrong and the person blames it on their phone. I'm sorry, your phone isn't going to change 'reason' to 'reasin'... And the doubling up on consonants unnecessarily drives me insane...
tunning shinning dinning ...
PLEASE work on spelling. It will make you a smarter person, I promise.
