Default Quick ? about milled heads and head bolts.

I've had the heads i'm going to use on my 5.3l milled .020" and will be using a .040" gasket, I have a set of ARP head bolts I planned to use but was wondering if the bolts will still be able to clamp the heads seeing as the heads are now "shorter". Would studs be a better option?

Agreed, the bolts will still have plenty of room and will clamp just fine!
