I was thnking bout milling my heads and putting 2" intake valves in. Are 2" valves a direct swap or do I have to do a valve job to them?

Best to check with your machine shop. Prices very from shop to shop and especially across State lines.

I have been Quoted by several shops and paid $160 in the past to do a standard Pair of V8 heads. So basically $10 a Valve.

 

oh thats not to bad. i was thinking bout round 200 or so. would the 2'' intake valve will make that much of a difference? is it wroth the 3-400 bucks ,reason im asking that i read some where on ls1truck that with stock valves and milled and p&p flows better then 2'' upgrade and p&p and milled
