Default PushRod Length

So I've seen multiple post of people using different length pushrods for one reason or another. I recently installed a GT2-3 cam and done a DOD delete on my 5.3 (2009). Is there a definite answer on what length I need or should I get a tool to measure? I've got 243's and they nor the block have been shaved/decked. Thanks

You can guess all day long or you can measure it. Comps tool is $20

I asked, is there a definite answer to the question or should I measure it. I'm trying to avoid ordering the tool and being set back a few days if possible. If ordering the tool is what needs to be done I will but if there's a specific pushrod that's used I'm good with that.

Every engine is different, that's why it would be a guess. Get the tool and see what your engine needs

Should buy the tool....but measure what ever came out, if the cam is the same base circle, put that size pack in.

Thanks, I've ordered one. I would have put the same back in but I threw them two months ago when I pulled the heads and never thought to measure them. The DOD delete kit came with new lifters and push rods (7.400) but the front cover included wasn't the correct one leading to me to question if the pushrods were right or not.
