Ive got a 5.3 build Im basically done with. Last thing on the list is what size pushrod to use. Setup I have is a fresh 5.3 with 862's that have been cut .020. Lift on the cam is 605 and 610. Anyone know what size I should use?

 

Guessing I would tell you to order 7.375's but I would measure to be exact.

 

i know comp cams makes a tool to check the exact length you need basically looks like a pushrod and just put it in and adjust to where it need to be and that will tell you what size you need. theres other ways to find out but im not sure what they consist of.

 

I use the Comp Tool, but there are others out there that are cheaper. You really need to measure and remember that you will need between .050 and .080 of preload on the lifters..
