Please Help!!!!!!!

Default Please Help!!!!!!!

i am building a 408 stoker and no clue what size cam i need to use please help. also should i go with 1.7 or 1.8 roller rockers. here are things done to the motor

tsp 408 stoker with -15 diamond pistons
afr 225 72cc heads w .650 lift springs
double rollmaster rolling chain
asp underdrive pulleys
90mm nick williams throttle body
90mm fast intake
electric water pump w 180 thermostat
ls6 ported oil pump
two stage nitrous plate
hardened chrome molly pushrods
gm perormance lifters
msd plug wires and coils


the transmision that is going with this setup is a 4l80e with a 3200 stall. all help would be apreciated

I don't know much about the differences nitrous causes in cam selection, so I'll recommend you call Richard at WCCH.

The rocker issue is pretty moot -- you need to decide first, then order the cam to match either. The difference is that the bigger ratio makes a smaller lift cam "bigger". I'd just do the 1.7s and put everything into the cam.

I would recommend quality rocker's though -- crane race golds or similar adjustable rocker on a shaft mount. You'll have too much money into this setup to leave the fate of your top end to a bunch of needle bearings

He can get theH Harlan mod done to rockers.

Your compression is going to be LOW for nitrous, Im running an 18cc dish with 74cc heads and that nets me 9.3:1CR. If this is going to be a dedicated nitrous motor then you need to up the compression to the mid 10:1CR area. You also forgot to tell us what kind of truck this motor is going in.

it is going in a reg cab 2003 2 wheel drive chevy silverado. would harland sharp adj. rockers be for this setup. it will be a nitrous motor for a while until i decide to turbo the truck. the nitrous will hardly ever be used i just had it layin around so i decided to put it on there. what kind of hp do you think i will have to the wheels.
