have a 6.2 block at the machine shop plan was to take it .005 to clean it up and install a stroker crank H beams and forged pistons set it up for nitrous. was told by a few guys not to go over 4.070 bore since i want to spray a 200/225 shot true it (maybe less depends on N/A #'s)

right now the block is at 4.06950 shop wants to take it to 4.072 or 4.075

is it ok to run at 4.070 if these marks dont clean up 100%?

if we go to 4.072 and stick a 4.070 piston in it is that ok?

so lost with this

Do you really think .002 is going to matter?

Either way you have to have those walls cleaned up. Do the very minimum amount each pass and see what it takes to remove that stuff.

.0031" is the service limit on 4.8 lr4, gernerally 0.001" for every 1" of piston diameter for service limit, you should be fine to run it with .002".

From service manual
