Default pacesetter headers on 06 gmc 4wd

can someone clear this up for me. Im looking to put a set of pacesetter long tubes on my 06 sierra 5.3. Called texas speed and they told me the long tubes will not fit theres a issue with them on the 4wd? I dont understand, the truck is the same as a 04 is it not? Does anyone with 4wd have these on a 05-06 truck?

Kyle

I do and I had to dent the chit out of the driver's side collector to keep them from hitting my front driveshaft. I assume they are addressing the issue...

They fit on my truck just fine.
I did not have to alter anything.
the older ones were made for 2wd.

Myfirst set fit fine also but they started leaking so the 2nd set they sent me had to be dented, which was this April. So who knows

Living in Wisconsin I would recommend getting a set of headers that are stainless steel. I have the Dynatech on my truck and they are more expensive but the install was super easy and they will NEVER rust. With how much salt they dumb here in Chicago they can eat away at even coated headers.

i agree. my coated pacesetters are rusting on the bottom of the collectors pretty bad. damn snow/salt.

also, my pacesetters fit fine with my 4wd. only problem is my front driveshaft barely rubs my y-pipe.

Just a update i put a set on. They fit fine. They are close to the front shaft but nothing hits or rubs. Now to get the exhaust leaks gone would be great underneath.

I have it on my 05 Sierra 4X4 with no problem at all, but it will hit the front driveshaft once you turn right or left when lowering your truck, coz 4X4 truck has different front driveshaft than the 2wd truck which is longer on 4x4.
