Okay lets simplify this and see.....

What would you do if this was your engine? I have heads that a shop bushed the guides with bronze liners. Would you push those guides out and put in new powdered metal guides? I want to use stock rocker arms with the Trunion upgrade as opposed to any roller setup.

What cam? Daily driver or weekend warrior?

Reason I ask... low lift on the cam, I would not worry. High lift and low mileage, probably ok as it would take a long time to contribute enough valve guide wear to start consuming oil. High lift and high mileage, change out to pm guides.

We are swapping them out. I feel the same way about it as a close friend of mine who has been building heads for 30 years now. He won't do it on any he does because he doesn't want them back right away lol. Oh well. Shoddy workmanship is what I am used too.
