I'm pretty dead set on my piston selection, I'm just curious as to what you used.

Very nice. Is the 5.7L completed? I'm curious as to how your build is going.

Nice! Let me know how that goes or should I say, let us all know how that goes by updating your thread. You and I are sorta in the same boat so it's nice to have company!

I broke down and bought that harness from Current Performance. I called Speartech and they said they "thought" they can make me a harness, which didn't leave me with a fuzzy warm feeling inside. The harness from CP was actually $825 but when I got off the phone I was very confident about my purchase. Oh well, at least I know this one will be plug and play AND do everything I need like control the e-fans, A/C, engine, tranny and make it so all my gauges still work.

Once all the major parts start arriving I'll open up a build thread for those wondering. There are quite a few S10/Gen III conversion threads going on LS1tech, but all/most of those are guys in little lowered trucks looking to go fast. I feel I belong here more than on LS1tech.

Sounds like a nice buildup. Is that your Sonoma in your avatar? What axles are you running?

My timing chain had a lot of play in it I noticed during the tear down, so I ordered this heavy duty replacement LS2/LS6 single roller timing chain.

http://www.sdparts.com/product/12586...mingChain.aspx

$43 shipped for good insurance. Also today my LS6 springs and valves showed up from Lingenfelter performance. Things are coming along nicely. Right now the hold up is waiting for the machine shop to call back with the good word on my new 5.7 block.
