Default One over sized piston???

So this guy has his truck tore apart. Doesn't have a lot of help or money. He takes his motor to a "well known" engine builder. One cylinder is completely screwed because of another "new and improved" comp918 failure. This well-known engine builder doesn't want to sleeve the block, just wants to put one .020 oversized piston in that one hole and leave the others stock...

Now, I'm no engine expert, barely a novice...but that doesn't sound like a recipe for success to me...thoughts???

Wouldn't it just be cheaper to buy another 6.0 or even a 5.3 if he is on a budget? The machine work would probably cost almost as much as a complete motor. Just a thought.

I wouldn't do it... Even if he gets it balanced, having one larger piston just doesn't seen like a good idea to me...

Wouldn't he need to run bigger bore head gaskets? And wouldn't that one piston then also have slightly more compression?

yea at higher rpm one hole is going to have more compression , more power, and be leaner than the rest and hes spraying a 150 shot to it.
