I didn't pull the pump apart since its brand new, i don't really know what to look for inside of it either. The next thing im going to try is change the pump out with an old one i've got sitting here. While im at it im going to take the pan off and check the pickup tube too, don't know what could be blocking it though. Unless the spacers from the main stud kit are putting it too far into the pan.

Into your oil pump or your screen?

tonight i took off the oil pan and checked the pickup tube and it is not blocked. I then changed out the oil pump with one that i had sitting around. Before i put the oil pan all back together i had my wife crank the truck over while i put my hand over the pickup tube, i felt absolutely no suction at all. Im at a loss here as to what to do.

I took it completely off and poured oil through it, it flowed through just as fast as i poured it in.

yeah i am stumped. I think im going to just order a new pickup tube, oil pump, and oring. Then force oil through the motor with a hand pump. That way i'll know the bearings have some oil on them and i will start it up and let it run 15-20 seconds and hopefully i'll get oil pressure. I just don't understand what the hell is going on here.
