Default newbie-cam and spring ??

I have an 06 ECSB 4.8. I am going to buy the comp xr269hr cam(216/220 .525/.532). I want to know if the ls6 yellow springs will be good enough fo this cam. And should I buy new retainers also. Already have exhaust, cold air. Yes, I will be buying long tubes, and getting tuned!!!

The yellow springs will work nicely. No need to spend on retainers. Use the stock steel ones. I hope you're going to put some stall in the converter with that cam. Power under 2500 rpms will be soft.

Good luck,

Richard
