Default Newbie...

heres what i got:

stock 03 4.8L 2WD truck

what would yall do with it?

i know most of you would say yank that paper weight out and drop a real SB in there. BUT if im doin a motor swap its to a LBZ.

anything i can do to make it get some power out of it? ive got some 22s on it, so im lookin to at least drop it to 4.10s and a trutrac.

heres some shots so you know exactly what im workin with here...

Hmm more babe pics for starters!
Welcome to the boards. We have a few members running some hot 4.8's, I'm sure they chime in shortly.

Some have gotten 600rwhp out of them so there's definite room for growth there! Are you interested in FI or just bolt-ons?
Yeah and more pics of the babe would be good too!!

With bolt ons I think you can get to around mid 300's or so. I don't think people have gotten more than 350rwhp N/A but I could be wrong here.

Powerdyne I think, It could be a procharger but I'm not familiar with the centrifugal blowers.

Best shift kit period will be found at FLT (sponsor on your right)

well doesnt look like forced induction is gonna be installed anytime soon, so, ive looked though the forum a little and im really new at motor work and perfromance drivetrain (from the tranny forward) rear axle gears and a limited slip are definatly in the mix in the very near future.

so here are some questions...

I use my truck to tow my samurai...

its slightly modified:
-Carb'd 350
-Turbo 350
-Dana 300
-Leaf Sprung Dana 44/12 Bolt
-36" IROKs

sorry no babe picture with these toys

High stall Converters, good/bad for towing?
Cams, same deal? what would i need to do a cam swap?
saw something about MAF sensors? Air Box Mods?
and a line lock, is there a kit out there for theses trucks or what?

And since you asked....
