I dont know how much power the 6.0 had when ot let go but it had to have been in the mid to high 700's on a dyno dynamics dyno it made 714 on 14 psi with no meth and unported heads. After I did the heads added meth and timing it picked up alot.

Those Scat Pro Comp I-beams are really good rods especially for 280$, ive had them before in a 10 second BBC street truck and I never had any issues with them Fwiw

If stock powdered metal rods have been proven to 700+, then I think even forged steel Scat I beams should go 800+ on an FI motor. You can get more HP with FI out of components like rods, because you don't have to spin as many rpm to get the HP. RPM is what fails rods NA.

Keep your revs below 6.5k and spec your compressor to bring the pain somewhere in the 2500 to 6500 range. High rpms sound cool, but with FI, you want to shift before your compressor is all in.

Agreed cause once the compressors all in.Bring on the heat baby and as we all know heat=Loss of power+preignition sooner or later.

so these i-beams from scat. whats the diff between them and the h-beams? whats the advantage of one over the other?
If your 5.3 pistons cost > $150 vs 5.7 bored (honed) using prices u stated, it's a wash. Besides, I'm constantly seeing u break ****. That's tellin me your either really abusive, weight of Hoe is breakin stuff, or you're pushing the limits all the time or a combo of these. Therefore, use the cubes to your advantage.

the pistons are the same price. $525 iirc. it will cost $250 plus to bore to 5.7l. i break **** cause ***** weak. lol two broken axles and a few transmissions. last tranny i broke, the output shaft had to be removed with a slide hammer. other than that i haven't really broken anything that comes to mind. i actually am quite easy on things. i never beat on it when anything is cold. i make sure its all at op temp before i go more than 25% throttle. i don't stall it up on the street. but when people **** me of in traffic i lay the hammer down. its nice to be able to take off beside a car doing 50mph and be able to pass it by the end of the merge lane. i only run 10psi on the streets. sometimes i hit the 12.5psi high boost switch. that's for the fast cars that i come across every once in a great while.

i don't spin past 6000rpm. turbo pulls just to that point.
