.This is definitely going to be my next power plant in my next truck
. I'm sure EFILive will support tuning for them as quickly as they can. Hopefully, they will use an existing PCM so development of the programming will be quick. I can't wait!

I pretty sure what they where trying to convey is that the design team for this project is of the much younger generation of Mountain Dew drinking caffeine seekers
.

"The Duramax's bills of design and materials (BoD and BoM) were developed to achieve some commonality with the current-generation 6.6-L V8. Shared features include the quick-start system with intake air heater, electronic EGR, and some elements of the larger diesel's electronic control system. The 4.5-L engine will employ a new E86 engine controller."
why do they keep changing the ECM's all the time..?

Wonder what kind of fuel eco we can expect? I can squeeze 20+ out of my '03 6speed 4x4 Dmax if I don't tow anything or drive too fast. With taller tires it turns 1750 rpm at 60mph. I can get over 500 miles out of a tank (25gallons) of fuel. A half ton 2wd ought to do much better. I would be nice if it was less than a $6K option. Pretty hard to spend that much extra cash when diesel is $.40/gallon higher than reg unleaded.

Touchee Batman!
