I fully agree... Circle D 3200 is a good converter.

Save for the swap, I have both a RCSB 4.8 silverado with full exhaust, TB converter, stout tune, bolt ons etc. and even with my titan being a CC pro-4x and no tune, itll dust the silvy.
Ill probably cam mine, but mostly for the sound, but I also have a 6.0 sitting in the shop. Just want to wait till I can do a 4l80 swap too

Yeah if you can get a 6.0 do it. If the 4.8 was 11-1 cr it would do alright but even then it wouldnt make near the torque a 6.0 would. Under the curve power is what you really need on the heavy truck. Do a 6.0 and put your ls6 heads on it then a 220 to 228 cam. If its and lq4 dont be afraid to shave them down .030 yet. with a 3200-3600 stall and you wont even want to waist your time with a titan anymore!!

the 4.8 pushed me close to suicide.

The 6.0 is okay, it's got decent power but it still doesn't have great part throttle torque pushing an 80 and big tires.

If GM puts 6.0s in cars, the trucks should come with 427s standard.

This explaines it all! I have so much into my 4.8 and it moves but nothing like a 6.0 would. Now im building a 6.0 and wish i had the cash i spent on this engine. haha memories i guess now.
