I'm looking for a good place to get for my 2005 silverado. It has the 5.3. I would rebuild it my self but no place to put it back together. But I can take it out and out it back in.

I ordered an LQ9 6.0L with forged diamond pistons and TMS forged rods from Thompson motorsports last month. Its in the truck now and so far so good. Time will tell.

The price was great for a shortblock. I shopped around and TMS had the best prices. Even compared to a stock shortblock.

I'd suggest you stuff in a 6.0L. May as well make an upgrade instead of the 5.3.

Shoot kyle at TMS an email. I was really happy with the customer service. He responded pretty quickly every time.

I based all my purchases off of how well these guys provided great customer service!

If you got the coin then hell yeah. The difference in power between the 5.3 and LQ9 6.0 is night and day.
