are you running LT leaders? if not, i would plan on getting some. you already have the gears and stall for a decent cam. and you're a reg cab so thats good too, i would go with the tr224, the cam i have in my sig, or a 222/226 grind or something like that. the 224/228 might be a little big for your stall depending on how tight it is but maybe not. go with something in the 22x/22x .57x...by you dont want drivability to be hurt, do you not want lope? are you willing for it to be a lacking on the low end or what? actually....my first quesiton should be, what engine do you have?

i have a 5.3. What i mean by not hurting my driveability is that its my daily driver and i basically take it everywhere including long drives. i dont really know much about cams, but if the lobe is the aggressivnes of it, i want it to sound decent not to radical and not to quiet.

i love my cam for what you are talkin about. it sounds mean but not crazy. you have to spend some time on the fuel trims short term to get the intital start up not to want ot die but after thats taken care of, you're good to go. i drive my truck everywhere probably abour 340miles a week. you could contact allen at www dot futralmotorsports dot com and email him asking some questions. others will be sure to chime in. the tr224 is not to be ignored either

2* of lobe seperation, basically, heres a chart....
Varying Lobe Separation Angle.....................................
...............Tighten............................ ..............Widen
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moves Torque to Lower RPM..............Raise Torque to Higher RPM
Increases Maximum Torque................Reduces Maximum Torque
Narrow Powerband...........................Broadens Power Band
Builds Higher Cylinder Pressure............Reduce Maximum Cylinder Pressure
Increase Chance of Engine Knock........Decrease Chance of Engine Knock
Increase Cranking Compression...........Decrease Cranking Compression
Increase Efective Compression...........Decrease Efective Compression
Idle Vacuum is Reduced....................Idle Vacuum is Increased
Idle Quality Suffers..........................Idle Quality Improves
Open Valve-Overlap Increases...........Open Valve-Overlap Decreases
Closed Valve-Overlap Increases.........Closed Valve-Overlap Decreases
Natural EGR Efect Increases..............Natural EGR Efect is Reduced
Decreases Piston-to-Valve Clerance....Increases Piston-to-Valve Clerance

that would be the difference, 112 is tighter than 114

I was going to say TR220 also. Nice daily driveability and matches a 3K stall perfect.
