N/A 408 questions

Personally i wouldn't go over 11.0 c/r if running 93 pump only because heat soak is an issue if driven much on the street.
Ported heads, decent cam, TBSS intake setup and it should make 480 to 500rwhp all day on a 408ci.

I had a 11:1 408 with flat tops and stockish 317s with a tvs1900 and 218/230 cam and it was an awesome setup. Torque out the *** and made 600hp to the ground all day. The blower put out about 7lbs and I could spin the 35" tires anywhere in first gear. It drove around like a stock engine, but with tons and tons of power.

That is impressive considering turbo / supercharged motors usually don't like over 9.5 c/r.

A lot of it has to do with the dcr of the cam. A lot of the ls2 guys throw on blower and they are around 11:1 of course at higher boost levels it would certainly be an issue

I am not worried about the 11.2-11.3.
Right now the plans are,
Callies compstar rods and crank with ARP 2000 bolts
Weisco flats with steel top rings
Ported 317's, I may have a bigger/lighter valves put in while I am having them done
Fast LSXrt
Pat-g spec'd cam
ARP head studs and whatever bolts ARP has
I think I am going to get me some roller rockers
A multi disc circle D converter... stall I am still not sure.
I need opinions for what stall converter would work better, and what will I need as far a fuel system? I know I will need bigger injectors, but would I need a better fuel pump?
Other then that how does this combo sound so far?
Thanks

Yeah I saw that the other day.
What stall did you have in your truck?
I would think a 408 would preffer a 3-3200 stall but I still from time to time pull a trailer.

Do you think I would be better off with a 3200 or a 2600? I am just worried about having to tow from time to time.
06murder,
No I just bought there stroker kit and will be using the block thats in my truck now.
Thanks
