Default Mods Question

Hey guys if you put the following mods in a truck can you still drive it for long distances(250 miles or more) without having any problems or something messing up?

220/220 CAM
3000 STALL
3.90 GEARS

no problems... it will drive fine and probably get decent mileage if the tune's good... just keep that converter locked up...

dude, i drove my chit 1200 miles one way from va beach, va. to lafayette, la. no problem. straight through too, no sleep. 20mpg w/4.10's

if you drove 20mph for 1200 miles you drove for 60 hours straight thats a haul right there ... but I could understand if you meant 20mpg.....

I have only been able to squeeze about 18mpg out of my 4.10's but I dont have the best driving habits... once the initial "fresh mod fun" goes away from these gears and converter then I'll probably chill some but there's no reliability issues...

Just make sure you get quality parts though...

I usually run between 70-75 (~24-2600RPM) ... I know if I want better mileage I'll hae to back it down to like 60 or so.... with the ocassional blast to 110+
