Whoops, yes! I was in a typing flurry when creating that post. But yes, as per the info posted the ported 862 patriot head would be the better choice IMO, otherwise I don't see any way he's going to retain his compression. These heads are only a grand. Make sure you specify the fact you want the center bolt valve covers and not the perimeter bolted ones. Unless for some reason the earlier trucks came with perimeter bolts??? Wouldn't be the end of the world I guess you could always get new valve covers

haha yeah but if Im droppin a G on some heads they better dam skippy bolt right up

ok, well Ill do some searching, maybe I can find some good shaped 862s (cheap) I can go get machined. But Patriot will definitely be on my mind. Thanks man
