Just get the intake cover from the SS or the Denali and cover the intake manifold up

well your not going to gain a whole lot if any in the 1/8th with the LS6 vs the truck. like stated above it shines better on top end than taking off the line. im not sure on my 1/8th times but i did gain 2 tenths and 2mph with mine over the LS1 intake in the 1/4.
i honestly dont think that was a good comparison between the two intakes since the gains will be in the 1/4

thx for the help with the intake ?'s. with whats been said ill prob stick with the truck intake or maybe upgrade to the new truck intake with the 90mm tb. im really looking to gain more power on the bottom end. trucks current mods are dynatech lt's, high flow cats, borla exhaust, cai, comp cams 212/218 115lsa, and dyno tune. what mod should be my next step in building a little more bottom end power?

Im with him^ I dont feel that I have lost much low end power even with my 221 cam or not as much as most people make it seem like I should have.

i put it on the 1/4 the weekend after running the 1/8 and did some major tuning with it. same mph, same times. it just didnt work for me. i really wish i could say i picked up 2mph.

also you switched from ls1 to ls6 so you had more power to gain on the table than going from the truck to ls6.

as far as milling the heads is concerned, if i knocked .030-.040 off the heads wouldnt i have to modify the intake manifold as well? does the composite manifold have o-ring seals or regular gaskets? if it has o-ring seal how would i be able to modify the manifold to fit heads? would i need to cut o-ring grooves back into manifold or are they on the heads?
