LS3 into 2007 Denali xl

Yes - bolt-on's to your 6.0 would be way easier.
How much HP do you want to make? Do you tow heavy? How much do you want to spend?
Considering a LS3 swap would run you about $5k all said and done cheaply. You could easily eclipse the LS3 power level with the same $$ bolting on heads cam with supporting mods to your 6.0

Heads and cam with supporting mods and you would have an animal. No need to go LS3 since you have the same 6.2 displacement and LS3/L92 heads are the same as well. Send the heads to WCCH/AI/Frankenstein/Etc... company for port-work and let that big dog eat.

You essentially have an ls3 as is, just in the cast iron form. Same displacement with different accessory drive. Spend you money on a cam, headers and a tune...
The l92 has valve reliefs which drops your static compression to 10.5 or so instead of the 10.7 in a ls3, but you can run a bigger cam because of that.

L92/ls3 blocks are same part number, biggest difference is the l92 has vvt the ls3 doesnt and i donbelieve the ls3 uses a different pcv system, where as the l92 uses the valve cover pcv system, ls3s have 0821 cast heads, l92s in 07 had either 5364 or 823 heads, which are same basica casting with very slight differences in the runners, and the 5364 heads are supposed to be smoother due to the sand they were cast in. Ls3s had the sodium filled valves as well! As stated stick with what you have and spend the money getting it where you want it!!!
