Default Low dynamic compression under load, pushrods to blame?

Now, i am going to give lunati a call come tomorrow. But in the meantime i figure i would post this to help figure this one out.

Since this was my first cam swap, i'm willing to bet i miss-calculated the pushrod measurements as i have 7.500" pushrods. Everything seemed fine upon installation. Engine idles, and rev's sounding very nice. But on the road, there is no pulling. It will accelerate but very slowly.

Also, with a 800rpm idle, my MAP is consistantly in the 85-90 kPa range, which seems awfully high. Again points to too long of a pushrod and the valves are not quite sealing.

Any other ideas or fingers point to the pushrods will be appreciated.

I would think that a 7.500 pushrod is way to long not letting the valves shut. Why such a long pr. try doing a compression check, if you have no compression valves are not closing

Reason i have such a long pushrod is well, i didnt do the math right And added where i should have subtracted. Oh well. I think my one buddy has a compression gauge i'll borrow from him tomorrow.

if your not going to run hardend 7.4 Pushrods go with 7.425 at the most, unless you have shaved heads on the truck.

I'm running 7.4 hardend rods with a 226 226 585 585 112 cam just to let you know.

Don't run the engine any more until you get it fixed.
If the valves aren't closing, you could burn a valve.
