Default Looking for a how to for Head Swap????

I should be getting my stage 2 heads from Richard at WCCH this coming Tuesday and i plan on changing them out that weekend.
I was wondering what all i should expect to have to do when i get ready for this and if there are any how tos out there for it.
I tried to search but nothing came up just random threads about people doin em and no real how tos.
I'm hoping i can get the truck on a dyno before the heads and then after to see how much they opened it up but we shall see.
Thanks for any help guys.

Basically tear everything off like when you did the motor swap except of course the wiring harness that goes under the pan. If you get into any problems you have my number and I can walk you through whatever you have a question about. Also I would ask richard how to prep the deck best since he deals with the stuff day in and day out. I hope you are going with arp head bolts, the stock torque to yield **** is a PITA, you will need and angle gauge to tq them correctly fi you use the stock TTY crap.

I was planning on getting the arp bolts and was wondering if i need the studs as well or will the stocks be ok on that?
Do i need a speical tool to torque em if i use the arps? Bolts i mean.
Also i'm gonna get some cometics gaskets and i think i remmber reading you have to spray em with something for 24 hours before you can instal em or they will leak?

No special tool other than a 1/2" torque wrench for the ARP bolts.

I would recommend either stock GM MLS gaskets or if you are really set on the Cometics, spraying them with copper gasket spray the day before even though Cometic says to install them dry. Also your block prep needs to be spot on for them to seal, the GM gaskets are a little more forgiving.

Damn coolant seeping Cometics really turned my head swap into a nightmare affair.

Any reason? I don't really want to go with a stock gasket...i want something a little stronger.

Ever heard of anyone blowing a headgasket on a stock shortblock? You will bust a ringland before you blow a headgasket IMO. There are people running 14#s of boost on stock gaskets and ARP studs you will be fine.
