LM7 low end
I was looking more power to my LM7 engine. First step was the camshaft shift. Camshaft I chose is "Cam Dynamics Low Lift NSR LS Truck Cam 224/230 .500/.500 112. CD13001 .But after dyno l see there is not all that way l wish. Torque should be middle or high end not low end. What can be wrong there? Today i was check cam posision, it seem in right place.
Cylinder heads are stock 862. Any ideas? https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.per...7026acb937.jpg |
Does this motor have vvt?

Oh nvm they didn’t come with them my bad

When you say you are looking for more power, How much are you realistically looking to gain?
What is the engine in? |
Power is ok. But torque is in wrong place.
Question was low end torque what should be higher. Seems this torque peak can be converter flash? Torque converter is 3500 stall. |

Question was low end torque what should be higher. Seems this torque peak can be converter flash? Torque converter is 3500 stall. This camshaft is very mild. It's designed to be used with a stock convertor and and stock valve springs. Look at this Graph of the Comp 54-412-11 XR265HR 265/271 advertised 212/218 @ .050 .522/.529 Lift 114° LSA http://gonicd.com/silverado/images/xr265hr_dyno.png Here is another from TSP. Texas Speed Low Lift 212/218, .550/.550 on 112LSA http://www.texas-speed.com/images/25-TSPLL212218112.jpg |
Why are you even concerned with low end power if you have a 3500 stall speed converter? It does seem like a smaller cam would give you what you want, though.

The way I read the op is he was wondering why the torque peaked at 2800 and was hoping for a higher peak?
|
I was hoping for the momentum in the same area where the stock engine does 3000-5000 rpm. Why I want higher is that I would like to drive 1/4 mile. Rather, the question was whether it is a normal curve on such a puppet or restricts something else there. As I have already realized, I would have had to choose a more aggressive cam.

I misread the first post, sorry.
