LM7 low end
I was looking more power to my LM7 engine. First step was the camshaft shift. Camshaft I chose is "Cam Dynamics Low Lift NSR LS Truck Cam 224/230 .500/.500 112. CD13001 .But after dyno l see there is not all that way l wish. Torque should be middle or high end not low end. What can be wrong there? Today i was check cam posision, it seem in right place.
Cylinder heads are stock 862.
Any ideas?

This camshaft is very mild. It's designed to be used with a stock convertor and and stock valve springs.
Look at this Graph of the Comp 54-412-11 XR265HR 265/271 advertised 212/218 @ .050 .522/.529 Lift 114° LSA
Here is another from TSP. Texas Speed Low Lift 212/218, .550/.550 on 112LSA

The way I read the op is he was wondering why the torque peaked at 2800 and was hoping for a higher peak?

I was hoping for the momentum in the same area where the stock engine does 3000-5000 rpm. Why I want higher is that I would like to drive 1/4 mile. Rather, the question was whether it is a normal curve on such a puppet or restricts something else there. As I have already realized, I would have had to choose a more aggressive cam.
