Hey guys, I'm doing a mild build of my 5.3 in my truck and was wondering if theres any way for me to check my lifters to see if they are worn? I have 140K on the clock and if the rollers look ok then I would like to disassemble them and clean them then throw them in. Bad idea? or should I just man up and spend $130 for new ones?

I don't know of a good way to check them but for under $100 you can just put some LS7 lifters in. They're lighter weight, rev better and easier on valvetrain parts. Best of all, they're GM

 

Wait for under $100? Where at? I've been looking for a few weeks now with no luck of a good price.
