Default Is the L92 truck intake any good?? for performance

Ok... so Im in the middle of my L92 top end swap parts.. And Im looking at the intake and had some questions....

1) Will the L92 truck intake fit a 102 MM DBC TB>>????

2) What size throttle bodies fit this intake?

Im reading the flow is restricted on the intake back runners... but its still a better performer than aftermarket units that are not plastic. The Plastic helps with Heat soak... but damn if I spend a grand on FAST intake.

Any tips from anyone?

Go with a Vic jr.. My 370 made 455 thru a 4l80 with the converter unlocked with a Vic jr, stock l92 heads, and 4150 4 barrel throttle body. They are far cheaper than a fast intake. Then if you go to spray it, you have a lot better choices for cheap nitrous plates that have better nitrous distribution and make more power than regular plates.

pics of said setup??

I had thought about that route b4. And I was told it was not worth it, due to heat soak from those type manifolds.

I would think that TQ will still be there for a Tahoe? or is the Truck intake better suited.

Considering I still pull a boat and it never drops out of overdrive going up hills and passing cars, it has plenty of torque. Cut a 1.59 60' in my extended cab.

please convince me some more, Im trying to research but not much hands on experience.

What did you do for injectors?? I see the rail they sell, Will my stock injectors work on the rail?

350 intake, rail prob 100, then the TB you said is about 320... heck

Thats adding up to be a Fast intake..... The fast intake I see on ebay are 900.

Im leaning on sticking with the L92 truck intake as I have a truck, and the intake is coming with injectors and rails already... cant beat that.. for under $250

My main question was would a aftermarket 4 bolt 102mm tb bolt to any of the L92 truck intakes?

that setup is way overkill for what you want.

I believe it is... Ive decided to stay with the L92 intake. due to the facts like I said, bigger injectors than my lq9 came with, fuel rail, and that intake flows alot better than a Lq9 intake. Seems to be the best startup deal to get runing quick. And some how I like the look of a stock peice better.

Just need to know If I can run a 102mm Drive by Cable with that intake.

I didn't say its cheaper than a l92 intake, it's cheaper that a fast intake setup.. In your first post you never mentioned you had a Tahoe, just that you compared a fast intake. If i would have known you have a Tahoe I wouldn't of even posted other than there's no reason to spend the money on a fast intake just for a Tahoe..
