Default L92 questions

1. The fuel rails included in the intake package are for a returnless system right? So are you guys just using a stock return style fuel rail or what?

2. Unless im mistaken, it requires a 90mm TB. Will a regular 90mm TB bolt up to the intake? and is there such thing as an inexpensive one?

Thanks in advance guys!

Which intake manifold are you using? The L92 truck intake, or the more common L76 car intake that fits L92 heads?

I know that Qwik modified a 97/98 corvette fuel rail to fit his L76 intake. I've yet to see a L92 intake swap attempted, but I'm very curious if the stock truck fuel rail could be made to fit.

The only other option might be a full aftermarket setup with billet rails and regulator.

I'm almost 100% sure a regular 4 bolt holed 90mm will fit.

The L76 intake is NOT more common than the L92 intake. the L76 intake is a Holden intake and isnt available on ANY cars/trucks MADE in North America.

The L92 intake comes on EVERY 6.2L engine.

the L92 is a more common, intake.

You only need an L76 intake if you are installing an engine in an Fbody.

Does the L76 intake run into clearance problems with the accessories like an LS6 manifold does? I assumed it would since they look to be very much alike. For that reason i was thinking i'd go with the L92 intake.

Are there any vehicles that came stock with a cable actuated throttle body that will work with the manifold? I'd rather not have to spend $400 on an aftermarket TB.

joshluther did the L92/L76 swap on his truck, and mine will be done next month. You will have the exact same problems that you would have with a LS6 intake as far as clearance goes.

And yeah the TB is a regular 4 bole 90mm.

This is the thread to look at

You are correct, in the "market" right now the L76 intake is more common.
Since the L76 can only be ordered new or in "takeoff" form, from an Austrailian Holden car
When we start seeing 6.2L engines in the boneyards, the L92 intake should be more common in the future.

Has anyone done a side by side test of the L92 truck intake and the L76 car intake??
Both are GEN IV engines, the 6.0L L76 makes 260 kw of power and 510 Nm of torque. This calulates to 349 hp at 5600 rpm and 376 lb/ft torque at 4400 rpm.
The L92 6.2L Cadillac engine is rated at 403 hp at 5700 rpm and 417 lb/ft torque at 4300 rpm.

There is a L76 intake, rail injector assembly buy it now for $700.

These GEN III/IV make some serious power, very easily.

You can get the L76 intake from SDPC complete with 90mm DBWTB, inj, and rail for $528.
