Default Kinda curious what you would do.

Im running an LQ4 full exhaust. I have this cam just sitting around 235/243 .62x.62x 111lsa. My thoughts are to pick up some 243 or 799 and run the cam with those heads and spray up to a 200 shot. I should be about 10.5 compression with those heads. Should I spend the cash and get some Lq9/ls2 pistons then put it all together? Main question run stock pistons with 243 heads or get 243 and lq9 pistons then run them together with that cam. I will go full build when I save for the rest of the goodies. Just want to build a fun setup right now and get accustomed to the new power. Then go bigger. Thanks in advance

Probably be easier and cheaper just to leave the short block alone and mill some 243s. If something breaks due to the nitrous then you wont fell as bad by keeping it on a budget lol

i run a similar cam. 236/242 .612/.612 110+4. i had to cut my LS2 pistons to fit the cam. definately measure PTV before milling your 243 heads.

How much did you have to fly cut Txsilverado? Cause if I were to fly cut then in my mind I couldn't run to much N20. Seeing as how the piston has been cut. Can somebody doubletap my compression with stock gaskets/243 and LQ4 pistons will be about 10.5.1 . If so that compression will be good for bottle right ?

Also in my mind I should be good with PTV as long as I don't mill the heads. It will be close but ok ? And yes I will measure just to be sure. Im just preplanning.

Hmmm ok, do you happen to have the slightest idea of how far I can fly cut before its dangerous ? I might just go for some lq9/ls2 pistons if I can find them cheap.
