Just forged pistons?
#1
Looks like I'm going to have to rebuild the bottom end of the 6.0 due to water laying in the cylinders when it was stored. I want forged pistons because of the Procharger but forged crank & rods is getting over-budget. Would just pistons be OK, who has the best price? Going for cnc head work and bigger cam so HP is 600 or so.

I think Diamond Pistons and Mahle are the only companies that sell forged replacement pistons that can be used on the stock rods. If you're going to try to reuse the stock rods, you'll want to replace the rod bolts with a better bolt. You might also try to find a set of LQ9 rods as they're a stronger rod than the LQ4.
Good luck,
Richard

This is not the place really but I have some diamond pistons with eagle h beam rods assembled and balanced for sale. They will give you a 9.0/1 compresion ratio with a 72cc head and they have about 8000 miles on them. You would need to bore your block .030 over though.
