Exclamation Intake removal

I have a 2008 5.3 and i am doing the Ls3 conversion. When i pull the intake off, do i have to pull the injectors off? or the fuel rail? or can i keep them all together?
Thanks

Ummmmmm.....you need to have a 4" bore for LS3 heads to work, so that way the valves don't hit the top of the block

He says a 5.3........ My guess would be heads/intake. Either way it won't work

im putting the BTR stage 3 truck cam in. Im doing the DOD delete so i have to tear down and put new lifters and lifter trays, valley plate, springs, push rods, and a 3 bolt cam gear. i just didnt want to have to mess with the injectors at all.

The injectors and fuel rail attach to the intake, so when you pull the intake, it all comes out as one piece. So in answer to your question, you don't have to mess with the injectors at all.

Was the "LS3" conversion a typo? Or are you just doing a cam swap and deleting the DOD? Because LS3 heads ARE NOT going to fit on your small bore 5.3
