Twin64 nailed it with it being the wrong cam gear! That’s crazy, I’d figure the truck wouldn’t even start and run with the wrong cam timing gear!!!

About the misfire.... I’d start the truck and unplug coils one by one, each one you unplug should make the truck run rougher, so when you get to the that doesn’t make a difference then there’s your problem! Now, if none of them make a difference then I would check the injectors! Should be a fairly simple problem to run down! Are you getting a check engine light on the dash?

all coils and plugs are brand new. I do have a check engine light and I can smell raw fuel, I haven’t had the time to plug my computer up yet to diagnose. It’s not even really a misfire it’s almost like a hesitation then you smell fuel hard to explain in words

does it do it all the time, like from a dead stop and regular driving, or does it only do it under heavy throttle?!

You shouldn't be out flowing the injectors on a 5.3 being a 2009, they are fairly large for the size engine even stock. So replacing the injectors is kinda pointless.

okay thats what I will do this week. I just want to get the truck running and perfect so I can drive it how I want to!!

maybe pull your intake manifold and make sure you don’t have any leaks... truck may be dumping fuel at idle trying to make up for a vacuum leak? Worth a shot! I’d see what codes it’s throwing asap though!

boosted, I finally had time to get the codes, first code is C0035, C0040, P0455, P0174, P0171, p0442.. so what do you Think? I cleared them but truck still hesitates and smells mildly of fuel.

well from your codes id almost guarantee you have a serious vacuum leak on your intake manifold. I’d take the intake off and check my gaskets out. I had the same problem one time and while putting my intake back on one of my injector safety clips caneboff and got wedged in between my intake and gaskets on bank 2. That’s where I would start! From your codes it also seems like you have a evap leak somewhere too. I’d check all those connections out too
