Default I NEED HELP i have a 2004. escalde 5.3 vortex

the truck is sopposibli stocked i beaten camaros tahoes silverados not in taking of but in the long run. im planing to fix it to run but i have no idea how to start or what to put on it i found out its tuned but thats about it i wanna know or tips yall could give me

search for 5.3 bolt on mods..

If its really a Escalade then its a 6.0 not a 5.3

look under drivers side head on block for 5.3 or 6.0 to identify actual block. look at head on lower corners of heads to identify heads. 5.3s came with 706s and 862s while 6.0s came with 317s. then look for bolts on....cold air intake or airaid jr kit, long tube headers, performance muffler, underdrive pulley, retune....good luck with your project

its and escalde 04. and it has a 5.3 ..the all wheel drive is a 6.0 but myn is just reer wheel drive

Damn, they did make a 2wd. I stand corrected, it must be a southern thing. I have never heard or or seen one around here.

Yeah I saw one at the junkyard a few months back and was thinking the same thing about them being 6.0 and 4wd but this was a 5.3 and 2wd.

the new ones come out with the 6.2 but anyways how can i get starded i got a couple bucks saved

Start with CAI

Next go with long tubes don't waste you time with shortie headers.

If you go longtube you most likely will need a new tune
