so, yeah my trip down south didn't go so nice, I need a new tranny now, my little truck I guess dosent like to tow things. Anybody got a idea on what kind to get next? I don't want a stock one or a reman one,this truck has seen it's first, last, and only trailer along with a transmission, I see on the site here some sponsors for trannys, Anybody got a fav?

I'm a fan of FLT (Finish Line Transmission)...currently paying off one of their Level7 65E's. I have a CircleD triple disc converter for it also

I still got 1st-4th but no overdrive and park is hard to find.

Yes, it sounds to me like that cam is way too big for a 4.8. My cam is 224/230 on a 5.3, and I plan on running it up to 7k.

I'm right now looking for around 35-45HP, but what I really want is that lope at idle.

That's an absurd cam for a street driven 4.8L. Consider that the MS4 was solely designed for a 5.7L all out track car.
