I really cant tell from any of those pictures what your holding. Is there anyway you could take some more pics that are in focus? Also, are you holding whatever it is with a magnet?

ok im thinking its the end of the dipstick tube someone broke it off and then tried some sorta tool to get it out like a dril or easy out and snapped that off in tube..then decided to tap it into the oil pan and replace it....exaust manifolds are often replaced on these h2's, bet it was in the way and...sound and look possible ?

Damn...that's weird. It does look like some dipstick broke off a dipstick in your 6.0!

yes I came across another forum where they were discussing breaking off the dipstick tubes while replacing manifold bolt...for whatever reason the h2 is famous for broken manifold bolts (exaust) they had some good pics and im pretty confident that's what im looking at there...draining oil and seeing this come thru the drain hole freaked me out tho
