Default Help fast please.. Head bolts

Hey guys need to know if i can use ls1 head bolts on my 05 6.0.. I am pretty sure i can. Also what is the head bolts that are different lengths like x amount of bolts are a length, the rest are different ,for these engines.. I threw the stockers out, for some reason it has slipped my head.

Thanks John

The 05+ blocks use different lengths than the 04 and older. The bolts that were 6 1/2" long are replced by the bolts that are 4 1/2" long. I cant remember the exact count and I don't have any heads laying around to look at. If you call for a new set make sure whomever you order from knows its for an 05 block and knows they are different lengths.
4 1/2" GM part number 12560745 Sold in a 5 pack
2" bolt 12558840 Sold in 5 pack.

I have a set if you're interested. I orderd them then went with ARP.

Ok that kinda cleared it up, so the 05+ use shorter bolts along the exhaust port side(5 bolts) and in between the rockers(5 bolts), the bolts that run along the top(intake side5 bolts) are still the 2 inch bolts... I am going with arp bolts and see there was a differnce, needed to know.. what was the reason for them going to a shorter bolt, will a 6 1/2 still work??not that i am going to try but just curious.. Thanks JOHN

The bolts wont sink all the way the into the block. The stick up about 3". If you call WCCH ask for part # LSX 134-3610 should be about $100.
