Since you have a NNBS engine, it should have the 243/799 heads already on it. Which are really good factory heads... I would suggest throwing a tsp220 cam in it. There are several members on here that use that cam and have around the 350whp goal your looking for, with stock heads.

320rwhp out of a CC with a 3k stall and 3:42s on 20s I THINK! i DD 350ish rwhp and its fun but i wish my cam came in a little earlier so i didnt have to change converters lol

if i had to mod a 5.3 i would upgrade with a light p&p on my stock heads, mill them .025" for a little more compression, LTs OR-y, UD crank pulley, 220/220 .595.595 114+2 cam imo. run a 3200 converter, 3:73s or 4:10s whatever you decide. Street tune or Dyno tune

Would the TSP 220 or 224 cam be better in a DD 99 Silverado 4.8?

I will install LTs at the same time as the cam. Currently I have a CAI, E-fans, exhaust, and a BB tune.

the 220 honestly with a 3200 converter. you dont have enough motor to run the 224 unless you wanna run a 3600 converter
