Default Heads?

I have been looking at the stage 2.5 texas speed 5.3 heads and they run great on my buddys T/A. What other options would show good numbers?

I have these heads on my truck. I believe they are 64cc chambers which is 3cc larger than the stock heads. Point is that you will lose compression. I think I calculated it to be a 9.2:1 rather than the stock 9.5:1. Even with the lower CR, the truck runs great with the 228R cam from TSP. I will build a 346/383 short block one day and bump up the CR to 11:1. I haven't had the truck dynoed yet.

What is your goal for hp?

What are you doing with your truck? Tow? Drag race?

How wild do you want to go?

What is you budget? Heads get pricey, especailly aftermarket castings. ie: AFR, TEA, ETP, etc.

What do you all think? Good price for some gain. Is there another head available for the same price but more HP? I like the compression raise.
